2015 Spring & Summer Designers Collections

Designer Özgür Masur was born in 1979 in Istanbul. He joined the professional design world after graduating from Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts – Textile Design Department Fashion Design Arts division in 2001. The same year he was awarded with the “Future Star Designer” prize at the Less Show/Leather Show in Moscow and brought the award to Turkey. He also won the 3rd prize award in the KIB Young Designers competition in 2002. Between 2002 and 2008, he attended CPD exhibition in Düsseldorf and Paris Pret-a-porter exhibition. During the same period, he acted as a collection consultant for a major export company, introduced his first collection as a fashion designer to fashion lovers at Galata Fashion Festival and established his own showroom.

Between 2009 and 2011, he performed in the following sequence; his first Istanbul Fashion Days fashion show, İstanbul Fashion Week 2nd show and the closing show of the IF Wedding Fashion İzmir. During the same period, he presented his “FALL OF SKIN”, “TODAY” and “SIMPLE - LY” collections at Istanbul Fashion Week organizations. While introducing a very special haute couture collection “MOMENT” to the press in 2012, he also presented his first pret-a-porter collection “EQUILIBRIUM, Soul by Özgür Masur” bearing his signature Özgür-ce to both domestic and foreign press and participants during Istanbul Fashion Week.

After his Pret-a-porter collections, Özgür Masur focused on haute couture on his last two collections and performed the closing show of the Los Angeles Fashion Week in March. Özgür Masur is considered as one of the most important fashion designers of Turkey. He is strengthening the ÖZGÜR MASUR brand and gaining recognition in the global fashion world.

PAMELLA ROLAND

Pamella Roland channels her artistic appreciation and creativity into all of her collections, finding inspiration throughout her life and the world at large. Pamella launched the line in 2002 and, in the last decade the collection has become one of the leading evening wear resources in the country, as well as a brand of choice among style icons and celebrities. Pamella was inducted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2010. Pamella's love for fashion, art and business has been consistent throughout her work. After completing her business management degree, she began her career in marketing and public relations and a few years later, moved to Japan where she quickly put her passion for art and business to work when she was chosen to direct all public relations efforts for the prestigious National Art Show of the College Women's Association of Japan. Upon returning to the U.S., she continued to build and manage investments, exploring new opportunities in both business and the arts, melding the two whenever possible. Pamella’s career exploded when she debuted her first collection at New York Fashion Week, applying her passion for art and commerce to the successful launch of her own fashion business. Now in the company’s 11th year in business, Pamella continues to be the lead creative force behind the label, while also overseeing the business side of the operation. She plays a major role in every facet of the business, from choosing every silhouette, shape, fabric, and color, to directing sales, hiring staff, and managing all public relations and marketing efforts. "I make it a point to travel to as many points of distribution as possible to meet my customers...I wear these clothes and can relate to what my customers want from their wardrobes...This is valuable information that I truly channel into the design process.” In addition to designing the collection and serving as president of the brand, Pamella dedicates herself to many philanthropic causes, including serving as Vice President of the Board of Trustees at the Whitney Museum of American Art.

Lenna Vasilas and Catherine Vasilas are the creative minds behind couture label GALANNI®. The collaboration of designers moved GALANNI® to new heights, evoking the true recipe of GALANNI® indulging in luxurious materials, handcrafted beadwork and sharp sculpturing tailoring making the GALANNI® renowned for their signature looks 2014 marks the 10th Anniversary of GALANNI®. To celebrate the milestone, the label is showcasing an Atelier collection at their Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia debut show. GALANNI® is renowned for its signature looks which exude indulgence through luxurious materials, handcrafted beadwork and sharp sculptured tailoring.
