DESIGNERS FROM AROUND EUROPE

We have chosen these designers from around Europe who have inspired the latest fashion trends around the world. European designers tend to lead the world with their cutting edge styles, explosion of color, and trendy materials. Many young designers study the historical successes of those who paved the way for them. Female designers especially are appreciative of the women who paid the dues before them, so that they might leave a footprint in this industry as well. We'll explore five of Europe's top designers for women's clothing.

Amaya Arzuaga, one of Spain’s best known designers, completed her studies in Fashion Design at Madrid's Polytechnic University in 1992 and joined Elipse, the family business. Two years later she set up her own company and launched her first collection. In 1995 and 1996 she presented her collections in Barcelona, Madrid, Paris and New York.
In 1997 she became the first female Spanish designer to be chosen to take part in the London Fashion Week. Following her success in the British capital, she was invited to the Milan Fashion Week by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion to present her 2003 spring summer collection, together with designers such as Tom Ford (for Gucci), Miuccia Prada, Dolce&Gabbana or Alberta Ferretti.

Diane von Furstenberg

The Independent

Von Furstenberg rose to fame as a fashion designer and society figure in 1970s New York, when her figure-hugging, jersey "wrap" dress became a cult item, both for the Studio 54 crowd and the Park Avenue set. Over the next 30 years, she saw her business soar, decline and, in the last decade, resurge in popularity, to become the multimillion-dollar fashion empire it is today.

Hope you enjoyed these magnificent creations from these extraordinary designers. To all my Bloggers XOXO
